Simon, Sidney

(1917-1997)

Born in Pittsburgh, he attended the University of Pittsburgh as well as the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He worked as a painter, sculptor and served as an official World War II artist. He later was one of the founders of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine.
