Reed, Doel

(1894-1985)

Indiana born artist who studied art at the John Herron Institute as well as the Art Academy of Cincinnati, He eventually obtained a position at Oklahoma State University where he became a master of the "aquatint" print making process. He retired as Chairman of the Art Department in 1959. He was later active in Taos and appreciated for his exceptional New Mexico images.
