Baumann, Gustave

(1881-1971)

German born artist/printmaker who emigrated to the United States at age ten. He later became interested in block prints and made numerous images primarily of the west His work is chronicled in a landmark text by Gala Chamberlain In a Modern Rendering: The Color Woodcuts of Gustave Baumann
